First big match by James Blake who had a close 1st set with Pat Rafter. After the match during handshake Rafter told young Blake that James would have won the match if he had believed in himself. It was a confidence boost for Blake who a few weeks later almost beat Lleyton Hewitt, a US Open 2001 champion.
