Dr. Manisha Kaushik talks about genetics and their rapid growth in the pharma industry vis-à-vis agro-industry. She explains genetic engineering is a powerful tool that gives new direction to crop improvement, whereby the desirable genes can be selected and engineered by scientists to produce a new crop by recombinant DNA technology to improve the quality of life. Dr. Manisha Kaushik, Director Samko Solutions India Pvt Ltd is a Genetic Engineer, Gold medalist Microbiologist, First Generation Business Entrepreneur, PhD in Management, Global Women Empowerer and Social Activist with Innerwheel, an Environmentalist, and an International World Record Author. Beyond all this, she is a Trekker, Model, and Finalist Mrs. India Queen of Substance 2015 who believes in giving back to society and making a difference.
