"I believe in the transformative power of the outdoors. Everyone should have equitable access to the outdoors. By creating access to nature connection and outdoor adventure for all communities through education and mentorship, we can create spaces for teaching and learning that honor the land and build deep and lasting connections with nature. We all deserve opportunities to learn, practice, teach and thrive in outdoor communities that are diverse, equitable and inclusive. Safe and inclusive outdoor spaces build thriving communities rooted in trust, respect and empathy. The impacts of spending time outside for youth especially can change the trajectory of their lives and create pathways for leadership in social and environmental justice. I will share examples of my work with Young Women Who Crush, Rise Outside and Wild Earth."
Alexis is a longtime lover of the outdoors and teaching. Alexis has been guiding adventures in the outdoors since 2016 and especially loves sharing the transformative power of nature with youth.

She is an outdoor educator for Wild Earth and a Wilderness First Responder. An avid climber, she is an American Mountain Guide Association Single Pitch Instructor and a NYS licensed climbing and hiking guide.

She is a co-founder of Young Women Who Crush, a climbing and leadership program for New York City girls and gender-expansive youth.

She is a co-founder of Rise Outside Collective, a New York based 501c3 dedicated to diversifying the outdoors.
