WVU Extension Today: March 2023

video thumbnail
This month you might notice something different about our usual host Zack Harold… he’s not here! Stepping in for him this month is Maddi Bowers, WVU Extension graduate assistant. She gives us some background information on our West Virginia Community Educational Outreach Service (CEOS), then kicks it over to Connie Wolfinger, WVCEOS Vice President, to talk about how the program works and what kind of activities the members can participate in.

Then we pass it over to Judy Cowell, the state chairperson of the Purposeful Reading Book Club, who tells us about the benefits of reading and why WVCEOS created the club. This group decides on books for the group to read and comes together to discuss afterward.

After talking about reading, it’s time to get crafty! WVCEOS member Kathy Hamrick teaches us the age-old art of making your own custom greeting cards for any occasion.

To wrap up this episode, we head to the kitchen! Elizabeth Reynolds, WVU Extension Family Nutrition Program health educator, shares how to prepare a quick and easy breakfast the night before by making overnight oats.
