" One day in January, my wife and I decided to go to a ski resort in the upstate. We decided to drive our old van Buick. We collected all the necessary things, loaded the car and hit the road early in the morning. The distance from our house to the ski resort was about 1500 miles. We planned to cover this distance in 2 days and be there by the evening of the next day. But due to weather conditions, things turned out a little differently. When we drove about 200 miles it began to snow, which eventually turned into a strong blizzard. A third of our journey passed along the highway, and the blizzard did not interfere with our driving, well, after 550 miles our route turned onto a regular road, on which not many cars drove. Because of this, large snowdrifts appeared on some sections of the road. We planned to spend the night in a beautiful motel, which was located on a mountainside in a picturesque place, among the fir trees and with a beautiful view of the mountains. But to our disappointment, when we arrived there, we found out that all the rooms were occupied, and we had not booked a room in advance. At first it upset us, but now we remember this incident as one of the brightest and most beautiful moments of our lives. We made the decision to park the car at the motel, then went to a restaurant for dinner, and after that we returned to the car to go to bed. Fortunately, the car was very warm and comfortable. There was an autonomous stove, a blanket, pillows, a bed set. There was a strong blizzard outside the window and a wind that rocked our car slightly. The sounds of a blizzard were slightly heard in the interior of the car, which created an indescribable feeling of safety and comfort. After all, it was very warm inside the car, and even under the covers. From the large window there was a beautiful view of the forest and mountains, on the left below you could see the roof of the motel, and snow flakes flew past the window at great speed. After watching the blizzard for a bit, we fell asleep sweetly, and the next day in the evening we were already at the ski resort. "
