Lisa Gade reviews the Razer Core X, the company’s new and more affordable eGPU box for 2018. The Core X connects to any laptop via Thunderbolt 3 and allows you to use a desktop graphics card that’s more powerful than what your notebook or Ultrabook has inside. It’s priced at $299 and supports AMD Radeon and NVIDIA graphics cards. The Core X is compatible with both Windows and Mac OS High Sierra or later. The Core X supports up to 3x wide GPUs, has a 650 watt ATX power supply and can output up to 100 watts to charge the connected laptop. It joins the Razer Core V2 in their lineup of external graphics enclosures.
