The world of indoor cycling is exploding but so to are the number of turbo trainers available to riders wanting to get involved. It can be a difficult market to navigate so we have pulled together five of the most popular turbo trainers for a long term test. We tested these trainers over a number of months to learn what their quirks are to work out which is the best turbo trainer. We tested the Elite Zumo, the Jet Black Volt 2, the Tacx Flux S, the Wahoo Kickr Core and the Zwift Hub.

All of the trainers we tested count as smart trainers meaning that they're the best turbo trainers for Zwift, however, they don't come along with the associated price tag of the top end smart trainers. All of the trainers we tested come in at around £500.
