A brief history of muscularity, gender, and body image | Sofie Ercolino | TEDxYouth@ISPrague |
|
How does our shared social environment shape our thinking about muscle and body composition? Why are certain behaviours frequently labeled as those only a girl or boy should do? Sofie invites us to rethink our preconceived ideas about what it means to be masculine or feminine, man or woman. A high school student with roots in the US and the Czech Republic, Sofie hopes to become a successful CrossFit athlete. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
