"I finally had a chance to go through my Hindi remix CDs after a week in New York City. Six years ago (2002) 74th St. in Jackson Heights, Queens was stuffed with Indian (Hindi & Punjabi) music shops on both sides of the street, and on all cross streets, but now there are only two music shops left on the main strip. The downloaders have won, the community music shop is fading away. Pdawg presents ”Mango Mix The Album” has a track called “Addictive Indian Mix” which uses the “Addictive” break, Lata’s vocals, and Rakim’s original rap. It mixes in a new flute part and the “koo koo koo” vocals from Choli Ke Peeche." Posted by The Incredible Kid Radio DJ from Portland, Oregon.

Addictive is a song by American R&B singer Truth Hurts and was produced by DJ Quik. It was released as the lead single from her debut album, Truthfully Speaking (2002), on April 1, 2002. "Addictive" features a verse from American rapper Rakim and is based on a Hindi music sample. The song was her only one to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number nine, and selling over 600,000 copies in the US. It was also a top five hit in UK, France and Switzerland, and went gold in several countries. The song instrumental was sampled in the Jamaican dancehall beat "Bollywood Riddim".
