The Golden Globes has been sold to Dick Clark Productions and Eldridge Industries following multiple controversies from its previous owner.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association faced controversy over ethical lapses and a lack of diversity.

All the proceeds acquired from the sale will be transferred to a new non-profit, the Golden Globe Foundation.
