Heatwaves usually bring to mind parched throats, sweaty skin, frequent power cuts and even heat strokes. But a recent study now says that it can scorch India's economic growth too. A study, led by researchers from University of Cambridge, has raised an alarm over possible heatwaves in India. According to the report, heatwaves will not only adversely hit people's productivity but critically hamper the country's progress towards its sustainable development goals. On India Development Debate, ET NOW's Tamanna Inamdar speaks with Dr Rahul Tambe, from Internal Medicine, Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital; Dr. M Rajeevan, Former Secretary of Ministry of Earth Sciences; and Vimlendu Jha, Environmentalist, to understand the impact of climate change on the country.
