On Tuesday, Pakistan court handed former prime minister Imran Khan a 10-year jail term for leaking state secrets, the former prime minister's media team said.

On August 5, 2023, police arrested Khan in Lahore after a court sentenced him to three years in prison for illegally selling state gifts, barring the opposition leader from contesting an upcoming election.

“I would like to say that this verdict against Imran Khan is a very bad decision because the whole nation knows he is an honest person. Whatever is happening with him is not fair,” supporter of Imran Khan said.
