I wrote this poem during a time when Black Lives Matter became a movement that displayed an influential beacon of hope all across the world. I wrote it because I felt the necessity to express my sensitivity as a mother, teacher, author, aunt, cousin and sister of African American Children in hope that would one day see liberty and justice for all. Enjoy!
