12-year-old Ke Huy Quan Interview – "I'm very lucky" (1984)

video thumbnail
In 1984, 12-year-old child actor Ke Huy Quan spoke to ITN about his experience of auditioning for and being cast in the newest installment of the Indiana Jones franchise, Temple of Doom. "I think I'm very lucky... and I'm number seven in my family – that's a lucky number!"

Ke Huy Quan is up for nomination in the Best Actor category in this year's Oscars for his role in the science fiction comedy-drama Everything Everywhere All At Once. Quan took up the role after taking a nearly 30-year hiatus from acting. As well as playing Short Round in Temple of Doom, Quan is also known for playing Data in 1985 coming-of-age cult classic, The Goonies.
