Pairing Audi’s 2.0-litre turbo petrol “EA888” engine, an AWD system and a seven-speed wet clutch DCT automatic, the SQ2 is basically a raised Audi S3 or Volkswagen Golf R. It looks great, too, with pumped haunches, a well-made interior, good tech and sweet quad tailpipes. The 2021 SQ2 is a rival for the AMG GLA35, BMW X2 xDrive35i, and even the upcoming Hyundai Kona N… plus the VW T-Roc R which will be released in Australia next year.
