Gloria Tavera aims to spread awareness of the monopolizing market on pharmaceutical companies. Through her research and passion for the matter, she plans to offer solutions to make these kinds of drugs accessible and affordable for the patients that need them. Gloria is a physician/scientist/activist supporting several health justice endeavors in the local Cleveland community and a current MD/PhD student at Case Western Reserve University. She conducted research in the neuropathology of dengue hemorrhagic fever in Mexico as a Fulbright Scholar. In 2017, she was recognized for her work with Universities Allied for Essential Medicines by Forbes 30 Under 30 Healthcare.
