This online talk hosted by the RAeS Airworthiness & Maintenance Specialist Group will offer an overview of recent experience of airworthiness management of the RAF’s Tornado, Typhoon and Lightning fleets. To encompass the Type Airworthiness Authority, CAMO, squadrons and training organisations.
Speaker Details Squadron Leader Alex CEng MRAeS Squadron Leader Alex is a Royal Air Force Engineer Officer with over 16 years’ experience working in military airworthiness and maintenance management. Squadron Leader Alex has held posts on a variety of front line units and with the Defence Equipment and Support organisation in support of a variety of fixed and rotary wing aircraft types. This included leading the Tornado CAMO to full approval and managing the evolution of the Typhoon equipment safety assessment to support the duty holder construct and introduction of CENTURION capabilities. He also served as the Senior Engineering Officer on the RAF’s largest fast jet Squadron and now manages the development of engineering training for the growing Lightning Force. A Chartered Engineer, he holds Master’s degrees in aeronautical engineering from Bristol University and military aerospace and airworthiness from |
