Chesney, M.D., Ph.D., Professor of Medicine, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology; Chief, Division of Medical Oncology & Hematology; Director, UofL James Graham Brown Cancer Center; Associate Vice President for Health Affairs and James Graham Brown Foundation Endowed Chair at The University of Louisville, presented "Harnessing the Immune System to Control Cancer" at University of Louisville Department of Medicine Grand Rounds on November 2, 2017.

The talk focused on understanding the mechanism and clinical utility of immune checkpoint inhibitors and genetically modified oncolytic viruses, the role of immune suppressor cells in suppressing cancer immunity, and the potential of emerging cell-based therapies including CAR T Cells and TILs.
