The market today opened with a positive note and slight improvement from the last closing. Sensex went down by 7.90% taking the total to over 50800 points. While Nifty 50 dipped by 0.05%; Nifty Bank, on the other hand, lowered by 0.24%.
PSU Banks ended up in red after the recent rally. Among Nifty stocks, ITC, which is down by 2.48%, was the top loser, followed by Eicher Motors and IndusInd Bank. Meanwhile, Hindalco was the top gainer in the Nifty, up 3.305 followed by ONGC and HDFC Bank.
Some of the other top gainers: SW Steel, Tech Mahindra, Adani Ports, Infosys, Asian Paints, IOC, Tata Steel, NTPC, ICICI Bank, HUL, UPL, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Nestle, and BPCL
Some of the other top losers: L&T Bajaj Auto, M&M, HDFC, Coal India, Power Grid Corp, Gail and Maruti Suzuki
