University of Colorado employee Rhonda Chestnutt was putting coins into a parking metre two weeks ago when she felt a large furry animal brush against her legs. Initially she thought it was a large dog, but realized it was a bear when it ran out of the bushes and climbed onto a tree. Park rangers tranquilized the bear, before a local reporter captured a picture of the bear falling mid-air, which went viral on the internet, and the bear was relocated to a remote site. However, the bear was killed by two cars on Thursday.
