Memory Prayer Mat, also known as MPMat, is designed to show Muslims how to properly pray everyday. The invention has sensors built in that can detect where the Muslim is standing to alternatively display the steps of at least five different prayer sets. The sensors activate lights to guide Muslims in their mastery of the prayer sequences. The janamaz illuminates to guide the muslim.

Muslims are required to pray five times per day, yet each of the five prayers requires a different sequence of Iquama, Ruku, Attayyatn and Sudjood steps. It may be difficult to remember which steps need to be performed, and in what order. This can be especially difficult for children, who are not experienced, and the elderly, who may forget the daily sequences. This invention is the solution to help Muslims master their daily prayer sequences. Namaz, Salah, Salat.

The invention also has the standby option, in between the on and off, for users who do not want it to display during prayer but want to check the count after prayer. The invention also lights up the steps for each prayer, depending on the prayer selected (dawn, noon, afternoon, sunset, nightfall).
