[KiniNews] The man who opened fire at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Sunday critically wounding his wife’s bodyguard has been detained in Kelantan.

Inspector-General Police Razarudin Husain said the suspect was detained at 3pm in Kota Bharu.

At 1.15am on Sunday, Hafizul Marawi fired two shots in KLIA believed to be intended for his wife, who was an umrah agent.

The shots hit her bodyguard instead.

The 38-year-old suspect then fled the airport, prompting police to launch a manhunt - with his details issued in a wanted poster.
