Surah Al-Ala is the 87th chapter of the Quran and it consists of 19 verses. It is classified as a Meccan Surah, meaning that it was revealed during the early period of Islam when the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was still preaching in the city of Mecca.

The Surah begins with the declaration of the greatness of Allah and the importance of praising Him. It then describes the fate of those who reject faith and follow their own desires, as opposed to those who believe and do good deeds. The Surah emphasizes the importance of remembering Allah, seeking His forgiveness, and striving to improve oneself in this life, in order to attain success in the Hereafter.

Here is a translation of the first few verses of Surah Al-Ala:

"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High,

Who created and proportioned,

Who determined and guided,

Who brings out the pasture,

And then makes it black stubble.

We shall make you recite, so you will not forget,

Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden." (Quran 87:1-7)

সূরা আল-আলা কুরআনের ৮৭তম সূরা এবং এটি মক্কান সূরা হিসাবে উল্লেখিত, যার মানে হলো যে এটি ইসলামের আদি দিনেই প্রকাশিত হয়েছিল, যখন প্রফেসর মুহাম্মাদ (সা:) মক্কা শহরে প্রচার করছিলেন। এই সূরা সমস্ত মুসলমানদের জন্য অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ এবং তাদেরকে আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টি অর্জন করার উপদেশ দেয়।

সূরা শুরু হয় আল্লাহর মহিমা স্তুতি করে এবং এরপর একটি বর্ণনা দেওয়া হয় তাদের কি ধরনের বিশ্বাস থাকলে তাদের কি পরিণতি হবে। এছাড়াও সূরা আল-আলা মানুষকে আল্লাহ স্মরণ করা, তাঁর ক্ষমা চাওয়া এবং একটি ভাল আচরণ পরিপালন করে আখেরাতে সফলতা অর্জন করতে বলে বিশেষ গুরুত্ব দেয়।
