A Tactical History of Liverpool, Episode 9: Liverpool -Tottenham Hotspur 1966, Football League 65/66

After losing to Fulham, Liverpool had to wait a fortnight to continue their hunt for the league title, hosting Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.

Bill Nicholson's Spurs had won the double five years prior, but by 1966 all except one of that side were gone. Tottenham came to Liverpool looking just to defend against the Reds, but that was easier said than done against a team looking set to become champions for the second time under Bill Shankly.
