If War Thunder's BMP-1 was historically accurate |
|
Built to carry Soviet troops in NBC environments, the BMP-1 IFV was fairly advanced for its time. It featured a smoothbore autoloading 73mm gun and a Malyutka ATGM launcher. Ultimately, the BMP-1 was extremely expensive and suffered from some minor issues, primarily relating to its armament. It would be continuously improved over its lifetime, but would be supplanted by the far more successful BMP-2.
