Meet Mikayla '25, a College of Osteopathic Medicine (C.O.M.) student at the University of New England.
On the southern coast of Maine, UNE's College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM) campus is a close-knit community with convenient access to urban opportunities that includes state-of-the-art facilities for medical research, anatomical study, manual medicine, and the development of foundational clinical skills. Through rigorous academic study, coordinated with exploration and practice in the dissection lab, clinical skills lab, and clinical settings, students acquire a deep understanding of structural human anatomy and become excellent practitioners of both traditional medicine specialties and osteopathic manipulative medicine. Discover Maine’s largest private University, the University of New England. UNE offers more than 40 bachelor’s degrees in needed fields, from the health professions, to the health and life sciences, to business and the humanities. We also offer 30-plus graduate, professional and doctoral degrees in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, social work and more. UNE learning happens online and on three beautiful campuses: on the shore in Biddeford, Maine, in-town in Portland, Maine, and at our study-abroad campus in Tangier, Morocco.
