EXECUTION PETITION=E.P.

“EXECUTION” is the enforcement of the decrees and orders by the process of the courts.
D.H.R = Decree Holder.
(Decree Holder (or) Judgment Creditor)
J.D.R = Judgment Debtor.
Amount awarded in the Decree = Decretal Amount (or) Judgment Debt.
Example : “A” files a suit against “B” for Rs 50,000/- and “A” obtains a Decree against him.
Here “A” is the Decree Holder or Judgment Creditor.
“B” is the Judgment Debtor.
The amount awarded by the court in a Decree is the Decretal Amount.
Since the Decree is passed against “B”, he is bound to pay the Decretal Amount to “A”.
If in spite of the Decree “B” refuses to pay the amount to “A”, “A” can recover the said amount from “B” by executing the Decree through court.

The principles governing Execution of Decrees and orders are dealt in sections 36 to 74 and order XXI of code of c.p.c total 106 Rules covered in this part.
