Firon was the ruler of Egypt during the time of Hazrat Musa (Moses). According to the Quran, he was a cruel and merciless tyrant who enslaved and persecuted the Children of Israel. The Quran nor Hadith mention the specific name of Firaun. However, some have tried to used details in the Quran to figure it out. Some have stated that Ramesses II is Firaun for the following reasons.
