CSIS Forum on Advancing U.S. Leadership in Global Health - Panel Two |
|
U.S. leadership, so fundamental to the historic global health achievements of the past decade, is being put to the test by today?s rising political and budgetary turbulence and increasingly polarized debate over how best to advance America?s global goals. On March 7th CSIS convened key officials from government, members of the CSIS Commission on Smart Global Health Policy, and other leading experts for a discussion on how to preserve and build upon the legacy of U.S. bipartisan support for global health. The gathering examined the achievements of the last decade and looked ahead to strategies for achieving future success. Commission Co-chairs Dr. Helene D. Gayle and Admiral William J. Fallon (ret.) hosted the Forum, joined by CSIS President and CEO John Hamre.
