At 16:13 the video cuts to the portion that is legitimately 720p 60FPS HD which accounts for the giant change in quality seen at that moment of the video.
"Jim, I give Floyd a 10-7 for knocking Chico Corrales down 3 times. Most judges will not give a less then 10-7 cause it puts the other guy to far outta the fight..." Harold Letterman 1-20-2001 Floyd Mayweather vs Diego "Chico" Corrales "You absolutely have to give Manny Pacquiao a 10-6 round for the 3 knockdowns..." Harold Letterman 5-8-2004 Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez I I'm not saying it's right or wrong either way. I just dislike glaring inconsistency. This is a greatly entertaining fight. We get to see pretty much all of the necessary elements that, when added together equal great fight. Then, these two guys went and did it another three times. Boxing fans are really lucky in that regard, but, c'mon, is any of that appreciated by the global boxing fan community, ya think? Can the fan community be happy with that fact? Oh hell no! No fucking way! Not at all when there's something that allows for the fanbase to complain about something! I'm of course alluding to the scoring controversy that get's many peoples ladies underwear all sorts up and twisted. This is the reason why included the two Harold Lederman quotes you can see up above this. About a month ago I uploaded a version of Erik Morales vs Manny Pacquiao 1 in which I added the HBO pre and post fight-segments that aired during the live PPV broadcast to an HBO replay of the fight alone which HBO aired in promotion of the then upcoming Maidana vs Morales fight. This manor of fight promotion HBO used eventually, over time, became their standard way of doing things. The downside for fans who are "completists," was that HBO only replayed the fights themselves, never any of the pre/post fight segments. Completist dork ass fans such as I are irked by things such as this: if their is more footage to watch of these fights, I wanna see that footage, and I wanna see that footage last week, damnit!!" it is this kinda attitude I am pointing at here. OK, so then. I write/say ALLLL of that so that I can say to you now that the formula I described using and applied to Morales vs Pacquiao 1 is exactly the same thing you see here for Marquez vs Pacquiao 1. I know someone made a specific request for this recently, but I do not remember whom you are. If you see this, I hope you enjoy if you should choose to do so. Mario |
