Happy Birthday, Hero MotoCorp. On this day in 2011, the most successful Indian 2-wheeler manufacturer in terms of the number of sales finally adorned a new identity after getting out of their joint venture with Honda and changed their name from Hero Honda Motors Limited to Hero Moto Corp Ltd. The new brand logo, etc. were revealed a little later. After its reincarnation, Hero has invested heavily in India, especially in their R&D department, and has been continuously updating their portfolio, including phasing out the older models and coming up with newer exciting models like the xPulse 200 duos. The prime earning member of the family, however, remains to be the trusted Splendor. We last rode the Splendor for a special shoot back in 2016 during #100Motorcycles project when we culminated the project with this bedrock of Indian commuter motorcycles.
