Narcissistic Abuse Recovery--Codependency--Understanding The Mind

video thumbnail
Codependents, adult children of alcoholics, as well as any adult child born to any dysfunctional dynamic have not been taught HOW TO CONNECT TO THE DIVINE SELF.

Because we have been taught to disown the Self, we are stuck in the bound ego mind, and are slaves to the illusions of the material world.

What one needs to understand is--that thoughts are just thoughts.

Thoughts mean NOTHING unless we behave--and think--and act as if they do.

I can think, "I hate my job," and fear thinking that thought--because I fear what others might think of me NOT being happy--and I could and would drive myself crazy by disowning my truth--OR--I could accept that I hate my job and use those feelings as a guide to attract a healthier job for me--but that would require me to care more about what I think about me--than what others think about me :)

We do not allow ourselves to get stuck in blaming others for what has happened to us in our life...but we do take honest inventories for the sake of expanding our awareness.

Children of narcissistic parents, who are now suffering from codependency symptoms, may be struggling to learn how to love themselves after narcissistic abuse. Narcissists tend to attract people pleasers or codependent personalities. Because codependents are eager to please, because they seek outside validation, they are easy targets for narcissistic lovers, and friends.

It is not easy to learn how to love yourself after narcissistic abuse, but with the right codependency recovery tools, it is possible. It is even possible to find love after codependency.
