In this “Thought Leader Series” video from The National Society of Leadership and Success (The NSLS), we present business expert Dr. Sydney Finkelstein. He’s the faculty director of the Tuck Executive Program (TEP) at Dartmouth College, which offers one of the nation’s most recognized Business degrees.

In this clip, he describes the one question candidates should ask during an interview to identify what Dr. Syd calls “Super Bosses.” In essence, a “Super Boss” is one who stays in contact with their former employees and team members over time. Through this ongoing relationship, new business opportunities arise in the future through the power of networking.

As a student or job seeker, you want to avoid a boss whose philosophy is “out of site, out of mind.” A boss like that will limit your success. Instead, try to find the “Super Boss” who will support your career growth, act as a mentor, and propel your success.
