Shorts : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC61gI6x3l4FZK9PQS_6G9nQ -- 10 years of working my way back up from addiction, alcoholism & failure. Age 19 was the worst year of my life. Age 29 will be the best yet. Turning 29 in a week. And we are only getting started on this journey. Here’s 10 thoughts that have helped me tremendously in these 10 years of “self-challenge” If you’re addicted to something that is bad for you, I understand where you are. And I hope these words help… 1. De-addiction is the most difficult only at the start. Make a decision & stick by it. 2. The more often you beat your cravings, the easier it becomes to beat them in the long term. 3. Addiction can & should be fuelled towards physical activity. Get your dopamine from sweating, not from substances. 4. Get addicted to your career. Never settle, no matter how far you get. 5. Be grateful for the little things. Be around family to be reminded of the little things. Family time can also be a drug if you decide. 6. Cut off the “trigger” friends for some time. Everyone gets “addicted” because of someone they know, who encourages them to indulge. Identify who these friends are and distance yourself from them for some time. 7. A friendship built on “addiction” will end when the “source of addiction” is removed from the equation. But true friendships last. 8. Surround yourself with NEW friends who are chasing the right addictions. The right (or wrong) friends WILL direct your journey. 9. Meditation will make the de addiction easier. Visualise a sober, successful life. 10. There is no end to self improvement. If you get yourself off your addictions, your mind will become stronger than most others. Use this new found mental strength to take your life (and the life of those around you) further than you can possibly dream. -- INSTAGRAM : @beerbiceps https://www.instagram.com/beerbiceps/ FACEBOOK : @beerbiceps https://www.facebook.com/beerbiceps/ TWITTER : @beerbicepsguy https://twitter.com/BeerBicepsGuy LINKEDIN : @beerbiceps https://www.linkedin.com/in/BeerBiceps TELEGRAM: @beerbicepsguy https://t.me/beerbicepsguy SNAPCHAT: @beerbicepsguy ---------------------------------------------- About : BeerBiceps Shorts is a collection of nuggets, full of travel experiences, leadership lessons, interesting recommendations, and information-packed fueled videos with the good old BeerBiceps positivity!
