The Exercise Super Garuda Shield 2023 brought together 7 participating and 12 observing nations for a multinational joint drills in Indonesia, from August 31 to September 13. About 2,100 U.S. and 1,900 Indonesian troops make up the bulk of forces in this year's exchange, with a total of about 5,000 participants from 19 countries, including observers, the largest ever. The list of participating nations is: Indonesia, the United States, Australia, Japan, Singapore, France, and the United Kingdom. The list of observing nations is: Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Germany, India, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Republic of Korea, and Timor Leste.
