Bill Burr is a stand-up comedian from Boston Massachusetts. Bill rose to fame in New York City where he honed stand up comedy talents in the various comedy clubs. Bills first big break was becoming a frequent guest on Chappelles Show. He gained even more reputation through his many appearances on the Opie and Anthony Show alongside other then unknown comedians like Patrice O'Neal, Joe Rogan and Louis CK.

Gregg Opie Hughes, Anthony Cumia and Jim Norton made up the Opie and Anthony Show which is responsible for the modern podcast format of current times. The show was a very loose format where stand up comedians would come on to promote their shows in NYC while providing hilarious commentary and banter with the hosts. One of the most well known aspects of the show were the fans. The fans were named 'The Pests' because of their crude behavior towards themselves and others. They would often troll people who were in the spotlight of the show to get the hosts attention. Usually they would brigade people on Twitter, prank call competing radio stations and even hijack live news broadcasts.

Bill Burr was a regular guest on the show and the audience became accustomed to his comedy and demeanor as a result.

In 2006 Opie and Anthony launched a tour that would feature the comedy regulars of the show in a nation wide comedy tour. Bill Burr was featured prominently on the list along side famous comedians like Tracy Morgan, Dom Irrera and Bob Saget. The O&A pests decided it would be a good idea to troll the comedians on stage and boo every set. This is when Bill Burr let loose on the audience. He graphically and explicitly insulted the audience which won them over and won their respect.

Since then Bill Burr has been deemed a comedy legend and it marked the rise of his career. Bill Burr is an actor, musician and pilot as well. Bill Burr also hosts the Monday Morning Podcast.
