The eight methods are as follows:

1. Being in the right mood when training a skill, as some moods correlate to skill training and will boost the rate at which you gain that skill. See below a general list of which moods boost which skills.

Inspired: Baking, Cooking, Gourmet Cooking, DJ Mixing, Flower Arranging, Guitar, Mixology, Painting, Photography, Piano, Pipe Organ, Singing, Violin, Writing

Focused: Archaeology, Fabrication, Fishing, Gardening, Handiness, Herbalism, Juice Fizzing, Logic, Pet Training, Programming, Research and Debate, Robotics, Rocket Science, Veterinarian, Video Gaming, Wellness

Confident: Acting, Dancing, Mischief

Energised: Fitness

Playful: Comedy

2. Utilising lot traits that boost skill gains, such as great acoustics, science lair, homey, fast internet, and natural light.

3. Utilising aspirations, with knowledge aspirations providing a trait which boost skill gains across the board, and creativity aspirations providing a trait that boosts skill gains while inspired.

4. Using satisfaction points to buy rewards that boost skill gains, including morning sim, night owl and savant.

5. Making or joining a club and then buying a skill bonus club perk. Following this, training that skill during a club gathering will be faster. This method requires the Get Together Expansion Pack.

6. Having a Tier 1 or 2 Tiny home, being under 64 tiles, will boost skill gains while on your home lot. This method requires the Tiny Living Stuff Pack.

7. Having a Tier 2 celebrity or greater and buying the Celebuserum fame perk. This will see different drinks arrive in the mail, and drinking them will boost skill gains for a period of time.

8. Certain lifestyles, such as single and loving it, and frequent traveller, can boost skill gains under certain circumstances.
