An intimate view of the Impressionist circle that met at the Café Guerbois. A flatmate of the poet Rimbaud and friend of the anarchist Fénéon, Jean Forain’s multi–genre work spans the Belle Epoque and the first World War. He turned away from documenting the foibles of society to rallying the troops in the trenches where he worked as a war correspondent.
