Boston’s students & families have been presented with tremendous challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Schools are closed, but the learning must go on. City Year AmeriCorps members are dedicated tutors, mentors, and role models for Boston’s youth. Currently, they’re providing academic support in virtual classrooms & assisting teachers navigate this new virtual learning space. When students do go back to school, they – and teachers – will need all the support we can give them. City Year AmeriCorps members’ service will be needed more than ever in the next school year.
