Patrick Jagoda discusses transdisciplinary collaboration and projects developed by the Game Changer Chicago Design Lab. The lab uses games and digital media to consider social and public health issues impacting youths. Game Changer aims to promote critical thinking and interactions in complex environmental systems. Jagoda emphasizes interactivity, collaboration and diverse methods at the lab. For him, tackling public health problems and environmental issues requires very diverse skill sets and collaboration from across the university. Games provide an effective learning tool because they offer constant feedback with concessions to multiple learning styles. He highlights how collaboration is essential to game design through several projects.
