Lucy Schafer and Brian Femminella join forces on the TED stage to highlight the problem with the current approach to mental health care and to create a conversation about the many different applications of technology to advance our understanding of mental illnesses. Together, they bring a unique perspective on how social impact in conjunction with technology can both destigmatize mental health talk and customize care to individual needs. Brian and Lucy demonstrate the power of research-driven, patient-focused, and trauma-informed care from the TED stage as they illustrate how to leverage the intersection of care, impact, and technology.
