With a total height of 829.8 m (2,722 ft) and a roof height (excluding antenna) of 828 m (2,717 ft), the Burj Khalifa has been the tallest structure and building in the world since its topping out in late 2008

In March 2009, Mohamed Ali Alabbar, chairman of the project's developer, Emaar Properties, said office space pricing at Burj Khalifa reached US$4,000 per sq ft (over US$43,000 per m²) and the Armani Residences, also in Burj Khalifa, sold for US$3,500 per sq ft (over US$37,500 per m²).[108] He estimated the total cost for the project to be about US$1.5 billion Dubai, the largest city in the United Arab Emirates, is home to many modern high-rises,[1] 88 of which stand taller than 180 metres (591 ft). The tallest building in Dubai is the Burj Khalifa, which rises 828 metres (2,717 ft) and contains 161 floors.[2] The tower has stood as both the tallest building in the world and the tallest man-made structure of any kind in the world since its completion in January 2010. The second-tallest building in Dubai is the 425-metre (1,394 ft) Marina 101, which also stands as the world's second tallest residential skyscraper.[3] The skyscrapers of Dubai are, for the most part, clustered in three different locations. The land along Sheikh Zayed Road was the first to develop, followed by the Dubai Marina neighborhood and the Business Bay district.

Right next to the Burj Khalifa is The Dubai Mall. To call the sprawling development merely a shopping mall is doing it a disservice. Even an entire day spent here isn't enough to see it all. With its 1,200-plus shops and 150 restaurants,there are plenty of things to do, and the venue is also home to an indoor theme park, an ice rink, a huge indoor waterfall, a choreographed outdoor fountain and the giant Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo. The Dubai Fountain, located at the base of the iconic Burj Khalifa and just outside the doors of the famous Dubai Mall, features the world's largest choreographed fountain system. This popular dancing water show jets water streams as high as 150 metres in the air.

The highest lounge in the world will open its doors to the public at the Burj Khalifa on February 18, setting a new record in Dubai.

The Lounge, a new dining and leisure concept, will take up three levels of the world’s highest building: the 152nd, 153rd and 154th floors. These floors, typically reserved for VIP or celebrity visits, will now be accessible via reservations, including an outdoor terrace with dizzying views on the 152nd floor.

Visitors can choose from three packages throughout the day, starting with the High Tea package, priced at Dh550 per person, offering a spread of fresh baked goods, desserts, fine teas and a glass of house beverage, between 12.30pm and 4pm.

Previously, the highest points that the public could access within the Burj Khalifa were the 124th, 125th and 148th floors, through the At The Top observation decks.
