Tessa Thompson Talks Relationship With Janelle Monae Just weeks after Janelle Monae appeared as a pansexual woman, her supposed love affair, Tessa Thompson, confirmed her own bisexuality and talked about her relationship with the singer of "PYNK" to Net-A-Porter.

"Janelle and I love each other deeply, we're so close, we vibrate on the same frequency, if people want to speculate about what we are, it does not bother me," Thompson said.

In describing his own family, Thompson says that his open-mindedness has allowed him to live his truth.

"[In my family] you can be what you want to be, I'm attracted to men and women, if I bring a woman home, [or] a man, we do not even have to have the argument," he said.

"I want everyone else to have the freedom and support I have from my loved ones," he added. "But many people do not." So, do I have the responsibility to talk about that? Do I have the responsibility to say in a public space that this is my person? "

Monae spoke about her own sexuality to Rolling Stone and said: "Being a strange black woman in the United States, someone who has had relationships with men and women, I consider myself an unscrupulous mother." Later, I read about pansexuality and said , 'Oh, these are things that I identify with too.' I am open to learning more about who I am. "
