How adventures can grow you | Vlad Grigore | TEDxBucharestSalon |
|
From the coasts of the US to Ulan Bator, from the Baikal Lake to the Black Sea, Vlad tells the story of how adventures helped shaped his life, from early childhood to present day.
An avid adventurer and keen explorer, Vlad tells us how achievements like crossing the frozen Baikal Lake in a motorcycle or rowing in the open ocean helped him be a better life, and draws four lessons on how we could use adventures to create a life worth watching. In 2012 Vlad founded Today You Can Do Anything, a community that helps others achieve their dreams and overcome their limits. He experienced The Mongol Rally – one of the Top 10 automotive endurance races and also crossed Baikal Lake on a motorcycle for 1000 km at -35 degrees C. He decided to bring the ocean rowing experience in Romania and created the Black Sea Rowing project, the only ocean rowing boat at the Black Sea. He is also a volunteer in a Search and Rescue NGO, together with his Labrador (Toshi), while also working a full-time job as a Business Development Manager. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx |
