It has a 350 lb weight capacity and we feel that advanced and beginner rowers will enjoy the AssaultRower Elite.

The Ergatta stands out as our best water rower. It’s elegant with a wood frame, sits low to the ground, and feels the most realistic to rowing outside. It uses water resistance which provides a soothing sound when you row but isn’t adjustable like magnetic resistance. The Ergatta has really fun gamified content rather than trainer-led classes, too. This is perfect for those who are competitive.

Our best water rower runner-up is the CityRow GO Max. It has a similar design as the Ergatta. It supports up to 375 lbs and uses water in the tank as resistance against the flywheel.
