TEDxSTJOHNS - Jane Henderson - The War On Victims

Jane has worked for several years as a mental health and addictions counselor in St. John's, Newfoundland. She has her BA, BEd, and MA in counseling psychology. She is currently completing her PhD in community health and humanities, at Memorial University's Faculty of Medicine. Jane is doing research for her thesis on duty of care in acute settings for persons with addictions. Jane is very interested in anthropology and studying why things are the way they are. She is originally from St. John's and is the proud mom of two.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
