Restaurants, bars and cafes in Sydney's The Rocks are uniting to support struggling businesses and vulnerable members of the community under the new initiative 'Plate It Forward'.

For every takeaway or home delivery order over $10, a meal will be donated to those in need.

The new initiative has been launched as Australian charities face a huge increase for their services as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
