Whom will we show our wounds to, O Lord

You are the Lord of all, You are our support

تیرے سوا بتا ہم کس در پہ جائیں یا رب
Whom shall we go to but You, O Lord

رنگینءِ جہاں میں سر مست و خوار ہو کر
Being engrossed in vain in the brightness of this world

جنت کا خواب دل میں کیسے بسائیں یا رب
How can we dream of Paradise, O Lord

دنیا کی آرزو سے دل بھر گیا ہے میرا
My heart has been filled with the desired of this world

دنیا کی ہر ادا نے کی ہیں جفائیں یا رب
But everywhere I have been betrayed, O Lord

پاؤں سے سر تلک ہوں عصیاں میں غرق مولا
From head to toe I am soaked in problems

کردے معاف میری ساری خطائیں یا رب
Forgive me all my mistakes, O Lord

میرے لئے کشادہ رحمت کا جام کردے
Broaden for me the vessel of your mercy

منڈلا رہی ہیں سر پر غم کی گھٹائیں یا رب
The heavy clouds of grief are hovering above, O Lord

چوکھٹ پہ تیری پُرنم بیٹھے ہیں ہم سوالی
We beggars are seated teary-eyed at Your doorstep

بخشش کی آس تیرے در سے لگائیں یا رب
With hopes of forgiveness from You, O Lord

دل پر ہے بدحواسی چہرے پہ بے حسی ہے
Our hearts are restless, our faces cold

ہم خود کو اِس بلا سے کیسے بچائیں یا رب
How can we save ourselves from this curse, O Lord?

سایہ دکھوں کا مجھ کو مغموم کر گیا ہے
The shadow of grief has depressed me

دن رات یادِ عصیاں مجھ کو ستائیں یا رب
Memories of pain worry me day and night, O Lord

دلِ زین میں بسی ہیں جتنی بھی نیک خواہش
All the good wishes within Zain’s heart

کرلے قبول اسکی وہ سب دعائیں یا رب
Accept those and all his prayers, O Lord
