Pandemic stress. It is something which affects many people each and every day. There’s fear of contacting the virus; of family being sickened; stress related to quarantine measures and fear of long- term impacts of global disruption.
Dr. Nupur Kohli, a certified healthcare consultant, shares her thoughts on what pandemic fatigue is, what it does to our mind and body, the factors that play a role in pandemic fatigue and the measures we should take to reduce it. Through her own personal story, she explains what she learnt in these exhausting times and tells us her calls of action. Dr. Nupur Kohli is a medical doctor, author, global speaker and a strategic healthcare consultant. She won the TEDxDelft Award 2012 at 23 years. She did substantial research on stress and productivity and is the author of the book 'Chill! How to survive stress and improve personal and professional productivity. Symptoms and solutions to chronic pressure.' She is the former Vice President and Secretary of International Federation of Medical Students' Associations. She is featured globally in more than 80 publications, TV, radio and online media. She has won the Most Inspiring Woman of the Netherlands Award twice in 2016 and 2017. Dr. Kohli obtained her Master's degree in Medicine from the Academic Medical Center, University of Amsterdam. Thereafter, she did Fundamentals of Business from Harvard Business School - HBX, USA. The combination of medicine and business gives her a unique angle to look at stress. She is the author of the book “Chill! How to survive stress and improve personal and professional productivity. Symptoms and solutions to chronic pressure.” She is the President of World Economic Forum Global Shapers in Amsterdam. She has won several Awards such as VIVA400 Award for the “Most Inspiring Woman in Netherlands”, “Top 100 Young sustainable leaders in Netherlands” from Sustainability100 Foundation, EU-India 40 “Leadership award” at European Parliament, Brussels, Top 3 Joke Smit award by the government of the Netherlands for fundamental contribution to improve the position of women.
