Spiritual Awakening: A Simple Method to Find Enlightenment

video thumbnail
http://psychics.co.uk Who am I? What does it mean to be spiritually enlightened? And how can we increase our spiritual power? Craig (AKA Parameswaran) answers these questions and gives a simple method to come to self-awareness and spiritual awakening. Drawing on the non-dualist philosophy of the Hindu sage and jivanmukta Ramana Maharshi Craig explains some of the ideas behind his self-enquiry methods that can lead a person to spiritual enlightenment.

In this video Craig explains that is you want answers to the meaning of life and our purpose then we have to ask the right questions. Many people repeat other people’s spiritual philosophy parrot fashion and expect to be given easy answers to the big questions in life without doing any work. People ask, “How do I become Spiritually Enlightened?” but expect to know the answer without actually doing any work to get to the answer. Questions like this about spiritual awakening and enlightenment cannot be answered in the normal way. It is not just a question of knowledge or being given a simple step-by-step way to enlightenment. There is no ABC of enlightenment – it simply does not work like that for the answer has to be realized, experienced directly and not simply given to you on a plate.

HOW TO FIND SPIRITUAL AWAKENING

The question suggested to ask in this discourse is to ask: “Who am I?” This may simple but as Craig explains even when you apply the classical Vedic method of saying neti, neti, the seeker can come up against many spiritual obstacles to finding enlightenment. (In Hinduism, and in particular Jnana Yoga and Advaita Vedanta, neti neti is a Sanskrit expression which means "not this, not this", or "neither this, nor that" - neti is sandhi from na iti "not so") This is one method to seek enlightenment and self realization but as Craig explains the idea may need to be expanded slightly to ‘not only this’.

THE BENEFITS OF SPIRITUAL AWAKENING

Craig explains what it means to be spiritually enlightened and shows how it is not a separate state but a realization of our true nature and our oneness with all. This simple method is a way to know your true self and have a direct spiritual awakening that brings you to a direct enlightenment that belongs just to you. Philosophy, teachings and gurus are swept aside in favor of a direct and personal experience of enlightenment. Who and I? Only you can truly answer that question.

IT’S AN EASY WAY TO HIGHER CONSCIOUSNESS

As well as self-knowledge, people with a highly developed sense of spiritual awareness have been shown in psychological studies to be less prone to depression, addiction, and are less likely to be manipulated and controlled by dominant people. Spiritual awareness is the sure fire way to real happiness that is no longer founded on the frail uncertainties of the external world but is now fixed in the true knowledge of the inner Self. It’s easy if you first ask the right questions.
